    • Synchronized version with GeneCards 2.39
    • New Integrated Gene Expression Images: 28 tissues, including cancer tissues as well as normal ones, are now presented in the Expression in Human Tissues section, covering integrated experimental results from GeneNote and the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF) SymAtlas project, as well as electronic Northern and SAGE calculations.
  • Version 2.2 - March (2008)

    • Synchronized version with GeneCards 2.38

  • Version 2.0 - April (2007)

    • Synchronized version with GeneCards 2.36
    • Microarray Integrated Expression Pics by GeneNote and GNF GeneAtlas Data
  • Version 1.9 - November (2006)

    • Synchronized version with GeneCards 2.35
  • Version 1.8 - April (2006)

    • Synchronized version with GeneCards 2.34
    • Graphic representation of the binary pattern in the probeset expression results

  • Version 1.5 - January(2005)

    • Synchronized version with GeneCards 2.31.
    • Search Genes by their expression in specific tissues based on the binary pattern algorithm.
  • Version 1.4 - August(2004)

    • Synchronized version with GeneCards 2.30u1.
    • Tissue vector images now contain binary patterns. At most 5 unique binary patterns that reflect the over-expression (in black) and under-expression (in white) in different tissues are shown per gene, with their counts on the left. (see methods for more information).
    • Introduction of GeneTide , the Gene Terra Incognita Discovery Endeavor, an automated system for human transcript (mRNAs & ESTs) annotation and elucidation of de-novo genes.
  • Version 1.3 - March(2004)

    • Synchronized with GeneCards version 2.29.
    • Three new procedures ranking the genome according to the genes
tendency for tissue specificity, from tissue-specific to housekeeping genes
      were added (TSIhvr, TSIgeo, TSIgap).
    • Expansion of expression profiles using Electronic Northern.
    • The SAGE counts have been re-normalized, and are now presented on the
same root scale in the same range (0-10000) as the microarrays tissue
      vectors.
    • Updated list of publications.
  • Version 1.2 - January(2004)

    • Expansion of expression profiles using SAGE - Serial Analysis of Gene Expression method.
Display of best matched and all unique SAGE tags.
    • Detailed information about the SAGE libraries that participated in the calculations.
    • A graphical presentation of the tissue vector for each SAGE tag.
    • Detailed description of the methods used for the GeneNote data.
    • Publications - list of GeneNote, GeneAnnot publications.
    • This page is also new.
  • Version 1.1 - November(2003)

    • Synchronized with GeneCards version 2.28.
    • New graphicle interface that is user friendly.
  • First Release of GeneNote Version 1.0 - September(2003)

  • GeneNote is a database of human genes and their expression profiles in healthy tissues.
It is based on Weizmann Institute of Science DNA array experiments, which were performed on the Affymetrix HG-U95 set A-E.
    It offers:
    • An aggregate expression profile (tissue vector) for each gene in the human genome taking into account the many-to many relationships exist between Affymetrix probesets and genes.
    • Detailed annotation information for each Affymetrix probeset.
    • An individual expression profile presented graphically and numerically for each specific probe-set.
    • A full genome ranking procedure according to the gene's tendency for tissue specificity, from tissue-specific to housekeeping genes.
